Oh man, earlier tonight while putting the kids to bed I got a splinter from my kid's closet when I went to fix one of there wall stickers. It hurt of course. The worse part was it was tiny and I could find the tweezers. I spend like 10 minutes trying to get it out before I finally got it out with no tweezers. I had to use a safety pin to break a little bit of my skin slowly of course so it didn't hurt so much. finally got enough of my skin around where the splinter was to be able to push it out a little bit to pinch it with my finger nails around it to pull it out. I got it! It hurt for a second and then it felt so much better. No more splinter!

Ug. I had one in my foot for a few days. It had me limping everywhere. I just thought it was a bug bite until hubby inspected it. It hurt like heck as he dug it out but afterwards I could walk again and it felt sooooo much better. It drives me crazy when our kids get slivers and they won't let us take it out. I find myself growling, "It'll only hurt for a second and then you'll feel better!" Which sounds a bit strange, when you think about it.
