Why tag in mylot

How often we use tag in My lot ? It is a long words or short words. Can it help ? or just tag.

@rachz_kisses As I am still new here , I do notice quiet a number of new user, when they post their discussion here their post had broke the rule, because they don't read Mylot policy.. Certain post are not allow, so they don't even bother to read the policy lo.
