Making a List

I am busy making a list of to-dos and reminders for my mom, hubby, and daughter. It starts with bills that are due while I'm gone as well as a list of bills that are past due. Hubby will love that. Then there are things such as Bible school and getting the kids there, watering my flowers, dating my hausernet mail as it comes in, and such. I suppose I should write down the number to the mission school that is to be used for emergencies but I have this fear of my mom calling every day just to check in.......and tell me things that are going on here. I told Pastor Tim yesterday that I am actually looking forward to not having mobile service or internet and getting completely away, all while helping others. I have a LOT of things to get done today yet. I have to go do my weekly cleaning at the church as well as box up the rest of the left over rummage sale items. I need to get to the store and buy cat litter and cat food to stock them on those for the week. I've already made a bunch of calls to cancel things (that's a whole other story that I should write about when I get back home). I got a good start on taking excess things out of the living room and now need to go find a place to store these boxes until such a time I have time to truly sort through them. I think I will go now and get a load of laundry going. I will be in and out today as I run across notifications. If there is wi-fi on the train and it works well, I will put up another post tomorrow while we are traveling. I am taking along both of my tablets. I've put coin dozer and solitaire games on both that can be played without internet, but of course I am hoping the on board wifi on the train there and back home will be strong enough to still do some earning. I've also packed a book to read by Seth Godin, the doll rugs I am making, and the blue and brown yo-yo table runner I am working on for the special order, and a couple decks of cards, and a clip board, paper, and colored pencils for Allen. We should have plenty of things to take up our free time. There won't be too much down time at the mission between building the houses and hosting Bible school for the Navajo children in the evening. Well, better stop rambling and get that load of laundry going.

I always (should) make a list -- especially these days, when I have so many "irons in the fire" or "pots on the stove" or whatever idiom you'd like to use. I've been trying to work on a little bit on each of my projects every day, but today we were out of the house all morning, so it hasn't really worked.

I just went away for a week and yikes what a welcome back. The place was a mess. I am a list person too, I leave lists and notes for them to follow while I am gone.

It makes you feel like the whole house will fall apart without you. Have a busy day.

@marsha32 Hope everything will go smoothly while you're gone.
