Just to clear the air at the outset, the likelihood of this post making any sense is close to zero...
Earlier today, some guy asked that time-worn question, you know, the one every noob asks, about earning on myLot.
"Well,", I thought, "catch yersel' oan! Ye cannae be askin' efter thon, as a'body kens fit wye things happen here - mony a mickle maks a muckle!".**
And hardly had I responded in said frame of mind, when I went back for a wee look-see, and what I saw was the picture at the top of this post.
The conversation must've suffered an admin "Zot!", made toast, shuffled off this mortal coil, an ex-discussion, gone...
Oh dear. Well, there's a little known racket, sorry, band, called "Null", with their intro track off YouTube to fill the vacuum, after the ** below.
** "mony a mickle maks a muckle" is a Doric expression, from the north-east of Scotland, that means "Many small amounts together become a large amount", and I think it sums up earning on myLot.

I think it was asking about how to maximize returns, to coin a phrase. Truth be told, nobody knows! Anyway, yes, between my response, me looking at it as it appeared above, and its disappearance, was a timespan of oh, perhaps 3 minutes.

LOL! I recognized the Irish saying, pgn!
I am quite positive the person you tried to tell that to wouldn't have recognized it, though! I wonder what they would have made of it? LOL!

@pgntwo I wouldn't have expected you to remember the person's name. It has been several days. (I can't always remember people's names right after I talk to them! And they might be someone I've talked to at length or several times!) SMH!

@DaddyEvil I saw another in similar vein, 'can I make 50 dollars' or somesuch, on the most recent list earlier, I didn't rise to the bait. I must be getting old, or jaded, or both.

@pgntwo I expect you are right. I base this conclusion on the fact that I have moved all over my own country and each area has it's own distinct accent. However it is not long before I start sounding like I have lived there all my life. I don't know if I would call it a talent or a curse.

@psanasangma You are welcome. Not many of my posts are quite as unintelligible as this one, I hasten to add.

pgn? Would you consider it rude of me to ask what does this mean to you and your family? If it is, I apologize.
I am concerned. I didn't think the vote would come out like this.
I'm sorry, sir, but I have to go to work now. I will check back here when I get home tonight.

@pgntwo I know.... and while this may not be in the best of taste, you can call me a Neanderthal if you want, but at least you finally got more virgin than you've ever wanted!

Laugh or cuss, when else have you ever known me to be at a loss for words? It was either try for the laugh or sit in the puddle. My didies aren't the kind that keep moisture away from babies soft skin....

The phrase I would use to describe the outcome is not fit for repeating on a forum such as myLot.
And what's worse, nobody knows. The UK is in virgin territory. Only now, after the frenzy of misinformation that led up to yesterday's vote and this morning's shocking result, are people beginning to realize just what a dark place they have landed themselves (us) in. Alas.

@DaddyEvil Shame the name "Virgin Islands" has already been used, see below.
Didies took me a while, diapers, or nappies as they are known here - thanks for the clue. There is a local expression, "spat the dummy out", that is what has happened - and all the toys have been thrown out of the pram as well.

I understand your reaction. Umm...that is to say, I think I understand the feeling behind your reaction. I found the method to mylot's madness quite intuitive, when I first joined. What I didn't understand at first, I learned by observation, trial and error.

I guess it is my Scottish roots that made it possible for me to understand.

Pretty good, yes! There's a few items on YouTube, titled "Scotland the What" that you might enjoy also. Reading Doric is best attempted by looking for "Dod'n'Bunty', they had a column in the local Aberdeen evening newspaper, called "Far's the paper?" that was always a challenge to read.

I have company.
