No Help for Mental Health

We have heard a lot of news lately about people killing, maiming, blowing things up and being a menace to public health and safety.
I just heard a story about someone who decided they needed mental help and tried to sign himself into a hospital. He was turned away because they would not take his insurance.
We should not be surprised if there is more of this sort of thing happening if mental health is only open for those who qualify for it.

We have noticed that is true so true about those who suffer with a mental illness and also no 'good' help for the very ill, such as those with cancer or other debilitating illnesses. Sad, isn't it?

@PatZAnthony That is really sad especially for people with few resources. There has to be a better way.

Isn’t this just so sad ? I feel like there is so much we need in this world. One thing we really need in this world is more help for people who have psychological issues. And I mean any type of psychological issue.
I feel like one of the biggest problems we overlook is postpartum depression. We hear about all these women who hurt their children or who can’t handle it. One thing we forget is that when we have a baby, we have all these hormones going wild.
This is why I feel that we need more classes for pregnant women and more awareness for it.
It should also be easy to get into a therapist or psychiatrist. When I needed help, most places that were covered under my state insurance were booked for months. And I felt like I needed immediate help, but not emergency help.
This is something that needs to be addressed and taken care of. Hopefully the world will open it’s eyes and see the real issues out there.

What bout government hospitals? They can take care of such patients, or if the government in your country has medical/health cards for the poor.
