A Good Day

We've had a good day. My better half's children and families arrived with loads of food. They also brought cup cakes for dessert. We had more than plenty of food for everyone. I made the pineapple cake and two pies. Only the cake was cut and one piece taken out of it. My refrigerator is full to running over. I don't plan to cook for a couple of days other than breakfast. I say that but my better half will probably not want the same food two days in a row. He will be nice about it and I wont insist. But I do hate to see food to go to waste. And it's seldom I let it happen. Anyway, we had a very enjoyable day with family. I hope you had a good one, too.

That's wonderful Mom used to make brand new dishes using items left over from a previous days meal, have you tried that on your other half? I can't say better because I always feel couples are equal in that each is just as good or bad as the other depending on the situation.

Yes, I often do that and sometimes he doesn't notice. Last week I made a soup from left overs.

It is nice that they arrived with food! Hope you have fun eat what is left. We don't mind eating the same things several days in a row.

I'm glad everything went well with the neighborhood get together. Seeing your family is the plus that matters most. I'm glad it was fun for everyone. Not needing to cook for a couple days is a blessing.

We have a lot of leftover food from guests but hubby is making different food. I think leftovers are so handy!

I could eat leftovers as long as they last, and if I put them on the table my better half will eat them but I know he doesn't like it.

@RubyHawk my hubby does most of the cooking. So he will make something else if I put leftovers on the table. I usually have them for lunch.

Leftovers are good but some people would prefer not to have leftovers. It wouldn't be beneficial to throw away food so perhaps you can find someone to give the leftover food to. I hope you have a wonderful week. Be blessed.

I would if my freezer wasn't chock full. I can't get another thing in it. I only have the freezer at the top of my refrigerator.
