Moving a Blog

As BlogJob's owner has been silent for quite a while now, I finally decided to take the plunge and start moving my bonsai blog. After a lot of uncertainty I picked Blogspot because I want to continue with my advertising attempts but don't want to pay for a domain at this stage in my blogging career. That's made life rather difficult for me - at Wordpress I could just have imported the whole thing, but now I have to republish every post from scratch.
To complicate matters I have to change the watermarks on all my photos and tracking down the originals is proving quite time-consuming.
Today was a slow day. 3 posts done, 36 to go. I need to speed up so that I can start writing new ones!

@JudyEv What made it so difficult was that some of the photos are from years ago and I had to go hunting for the originals all over again. To be honest I've been a bit lazy and I'm not quite done yet, though I should be in a couple of days now. Only four posts left to move!

@crazyhorseladycx I hope I've chosen the right site, but right now I feel that anything is better than staying at BlogJob and not adding new content to my blog.
The reason I'm changing all my watermarks is because I had the site address, including the name BlogJob, in them. This time I'm leaving out the host name in case I ever need to move again.

@crazyhorseladycx I've set up a Photoshop action to watermark my photos, so it's really easy. All I have to do is see that the size and colour are right for the photo and choose the best position for it.

@dianadee Thanks. After a long period without posting new content, I'm finding it difficult to get back into the swing of things. I guess the fact that it's winter and I haven't been doing much work on my trees doesn't help. The important part for now is to spend more time outside with my trees and less time online, That way I'll have something to write about.

I also went back to blogger, Sheridan made me mad a week ago by not allowing me to ask in a forum or contact the stadd and I quit writing there. I have back ups of my work so all I will do is delete mine.

@andriaperry If there was one thing I learnt at Bubblews it was to keep back-up of everything, so I'm fine too. On an emotional level I find it hard to let go of anything though, and it's the same with BlogJob. I think that's part of the reason I'm editing my posts rather than deleting them.
I really don't know why Sheridan has suddenly gone quiet. He was always accessible when the site was running smoothly. His silence has a lot to do with my decision to move my blog.

@andriaperry Do you mean page 2 of your own blog? I haven't had problems accessing anything at BlogJob recently. Not that I visit too many pages when I'm there!

@Gina145 Me too, I tried to go to "page 2" and the site would not move for me. I think the only page accessible to others is the first page.
