I went to our city’s town proper today. I am enjoying the moment of looking around. Then, a close of mine saw me. We decided to catch up and talk it over in a coffee shop. While looking at him, he seems stressed-out. As a friend, I asked about what’s bothering him. Then, he started to say something about his colleague. The story goes like this, his colleague committed a fraud by forgery the signature of some of the documents in the company. Thus, this person tried to steal some amount of money and the management had found out. Since the person is working in the company for about 5 years. He was given an option to have force resignation. He agreed to a face-saving settlement to give up his position and moved out from the company. Photo Credit: Pixabay.com

He was lucky I think not to be charged. It is good the crime was discovered and that this man has been dismissed.

@JudyEv I guess the management has still a golden heart to destroy the image of their employees.

@Yar_Joey I think he doesn't have the benefits. It is one of the agreement that the company will not file a criminal case.

One of my officemates did something terminable few years back. It's nothing like stealing money or destroying company's property. She was given a second chance because it was the first time and she was tenured. So there.. Politics.

@MGjhaud I have nepotism and politics in a working place. If it does happen to me, I will definitely file my resignation.

He should be very thankful that he was offered that kind of settlement and not charged in court instead.

It is never a good idea for this fraud of money in a company. I do not ever understand why a person would risk this crime to lose their job.

@TiarasOceanView I also can't imagine why people do such an act.

That's dishonesty and he should be out to the company without any compensation at all.

@Macarrosel I do agree. I think he deserves to be out of the company.
