What gives you the shivers? Is it the unknown sounds that lurk at night? Maybe it's the horror movie that you are watching where the monster has just attacked an innocent woman. You might get shivers just from being outside on a cold, wintry day. I get shivers when I am walking into an unfamiliar place alone. Perhaps if you encountered a rattlesnake that might cause you to get shivers. It certainly would rattle me with fear.
