Seeing how tomorrow is the official first day of summer, I've been posting discussion's about summer songs, all aimed at getting me (and you) revved up for my favorite season.
Danzig was formed in 1987 by former Misfits and Samhain vocalist Glenn Danzig. While Danzig's first two bands were shock/horror punk outfits, Danzig is more of a metal-based act, famous for their hit "Mother. "
1992's album How the Gods Kill produced the single "Dirty Black Summer," which, despite consistent play on MTV, failed to chart.
No matter. Other than "Mother" (preferably the live version,) "Dirty Black Summer" is my favorite Danzig tune, and I play it at the beginning of each summer.
And now that summer will officially kick off tomorrow, here it is, as the tradition continues.

Now that's a manly looking band compared to those wimpy hair band guys!

Definitely more masculine than the band that ruined hair metal, Poison!

@teamfreak16 I was so busy with new wave/alternative that I missed out on those awful power ballads like Every Rose has Its Thorn. .

@JohnRoberts - I do like a few hair metal bands. I went through a list a couple weeks ago. Surprised how many of those bands I couldn't stand.
