That's what Windshield Wipers are for!

I was out with my son this morning. He was driving. We got behind a guy on a motorcycle. I thought we got too close and told him so. He asks who is driving you or me? I said I don't want a motorcycle guy all over the car. He turned to me and said in the most serious voice, "that's what windshield wipers are for." I could not stop laughing. It was the perfect straight line. Please note, this is just a joke. We would not run over anyone deliberately. We observe all traffic laws and respect the sanctity of life. How about you, do you come up with weird stuff like that?

You must be good at one line answers, too. Our humor is not all dark. We like light and funny things, too. He can come up with the most clever lines. He said I walked right into that comment.

@akalinus Yes I understand your senses of humor. Mine isn't always dark either but sometimes the things I say just make Mike and I laugh as you and your son did this morning. Have a blessed day

Thanks, sometimes jokes that just happen are the best ones. We could not have planned that one.

No, my husband has not a big sense of humor when he drives, but this one is a good one.

We ate in a fast food place and kept bursting into laughter. People were looking at us. That was funny, too.

This was a joke. We were not serious.

While that is a great comeback, seriously, I prefer to keep a good safe distance and prefer to be the driver rather than the passenger as many people do not keep a safe distance.

That is very clever but it wouldn't have eased my concern!
