I took this picture of the entrance of the mission. Included in my photo is their sign welcoming the group I was with (even though they only have one m in their name). I'm confused by the 1924 and never took the time to ask anyone about it. The Kansas Bible camp here in my town is heavily into helping the mission. Many former campers are staff at the mission. The director is from my town and I was already familiar with him through him being the guest speaker a few times when we attended family camp. From what I could see, there are 7 houses on the mission where staff lives. They have a chapel at the front of the property. Just outside where I took the picture is a cemetery (I have a picture of part of it to share in a later post). To the back of the mission is the school. I heard they have about 80 students and it is Kindergarten through high school. The school is a private Christian school and students come by invite only. What an awesome service they offer to the Navajo families! Not only do they teach them from textbooks, but they also teach them about Jesus, the Bible, the Gospel and work to save them. They are completely privately funded by donations. The church we went along with donated a check for $2000 towards building supplies for the houses they help to build or add on to for the families. We also brought boxes of items to donate to their Thrifty Shop. Of course all proceeds from the shop go directly to the mission and since all items are donated by the groups that come in to serve over the summer, they have no cash out for the items. It's nice to know that these missions exist for the extra help for the Indian families. I seen a sign about another mission on the reservation as well. Again, I didn't ask anyone about it.

It is wonderful that those families are being helped, I'm sure they really appreciate any help.

Much better quality of help than some other forms of aid. I am glad you got to go.

I'm sure the people on the reservation need all the help and support they can get.
