Let's have a Hollering day on Mylot, it would be lots of fun since you can't hear anyone holler you can only imagine them doing so.
It's the perfect opportunity to yell and scream at the top of your lungs. lol
Did you know there are different types of hollers such as yodeling or hunting cries.
It has been a form of communication for a very long time.
In some places hollering is an Art Form.
There are distress hollers, functional hollers, communicative hollers and expressive hollers.
Distress hollers are used in rural areas, functional hollers are day to day life in the field or on the farm, commuicative hollers are just to say Howdy to your neighbor and expressive hollers are just for entertainment like singing a song.
How about it do you want to join in?

I used to call out my friends to come to our house and play, wow it's been years since that happened.

A lesson I learned in therapy a long time ago was that when you are angry get into a car with closed windows and scream as loud as you can--it always made me feel better and eventually I got rid of my anger so I don't holler anymore!! :O)

I had heard someone once say they went into a closet and screamed as loud as they could and came out feeling better. Good for you not hollering. lol

That sounds like a fun way to let off some frustration.

haha! What a great idea for a post! When we lived in Kenya there's a 'hollar ' they teach you in case you get lost and need to be rescued - I couldn't do it now but it's from the gut to produce a deep sound that doesn't attract special interest from the very scary wildlife. I chose not to leave the house much...

I don't know there are different kinds of hollering! My dog does it, he sounded like yodeling specially when he does not know where to hide his toy!

Sure, I'll participate. I'll warn Mildred my Cat when it's about to begin so she doesn't think I'm yelling at her!
