We have a new house guest. Well, technically she doesn't stay inside the house. She stays outside. In a cage. Don't worry though. She gets plenty of food, water, and all the hay she can eat. Another bunny. That's right. I think she's a Netherland Dwarf but I'm not 100% certain. And I didn't get her lineage info from her owners before we brought her to our place. We also forgot to get her name. So the kids have been coming up with temporary names like: --Ninja --Shadow and --Ninja Shadow Unfortunately, little Ninja and our rabbit, Marshmallow, can't hang out together. There's just too much animal instinct in them. Well, mostly it's our buck that can't be trusted. He's a typical guy! They can't be "just friends", if you know what I mean. And since I doubt our friends would appreciate our buck de-flowering their doe, the two remain in their separate cages. They can smell each other...but no touching allowed! We're so mean!

Good idea, unless you want a housefull of little rabbits hopping around.

If this doe were of the same breed--or at least similar size--to our buck, I'd be tempted to ask our friends if they'd mind a breeding. There are a lot of people around here who like to have pet rabbits...or rabbit meat.
