Breaking NEWS!
Kalimera everyone - its Friday and lets hope its not too bloody a Friday for the UK!
As the UK delivers the final verdict on the referendum - the vote is "LEAVE EU" and I have SKY News in my one ear and my one eye on Google sites giving me some information and a run down on what the real implications of the UK leaving the EU can be!
Historic DAY!
minutes from now the markets will open and that will reveal the impact of the vote especially!
Donald Tusk - the European Council President of the EU speaks out and reassures the other 27 leaders will stand unified and that the EU will stand strong. So many challenges to face and then quoted a phrase his father often said to him.
"What doesnt kill you, will make you stronger"
The process has begun . . . pound is speculated to drop and many immigrants are concerned about their positions in the UK?
We are all watching from afar . . a day of making History in the world!
my photo is from my fathers WWII archive - another day long ago in History

The Pounds will drop and the UK will become again a competitive country, if others would have followed the example not to join the Euro currency! Now France right party are asking for a vote in France. For the moment I am glad I won all the bets I made with my friends who were sure UK would have stayed in Europe. Silly friends.

Everyone that I have spoken to over the past month have been convinced that Britain would vote to remain. That was looking like a very likely outcome last night, especially when the first result was for Gibraltar. I still find it hard to believe that Gibraltar was allowed to participate.

Oh, did Britain have a referendum?
There has been a great deal of talk about the insurmountable obstacles ahead having to renegotiate trade deals and review or change many of our internal systems. I was around when the UK first joined the EU, at which time we had the same level of decisions to make.
The main factor to me is that over those 40 plus years Britain gradually lost more control over itself, which has been the reason for this result.

This is bad news for the UK, it will mean business closures (as pro-European business shift their operations), there is already a run on the GBP, takes will rise (to pay for the budget deficit) and in by view the country will split. Born in the UK, but I will never return because of this result.

Oh my! I think leaving EU has many negative impacts not only to the British people but also to the EU. But well, let's see how it goes. How I wish that the German people could vote like this. We are not asked by our government to vote like this and if we could, maybe we are out of the EU as well as the people are not contented anymore. Many thought that our government just keep on sending taxpayers money to the other EU countries.

the only thing i like about it, is the restriction to foreigners on their soil - I can understand that too many immigrants are making the UK less of the UK than it has ever been. For us as a commonwealth country - we have grater restrictions to visit the UK than an EU country.

The only negative I see from this vote is that it was a slap in the face of the Globalist movers ans shakers. I suspect that they're going to rig the 'economy roulette' in an effort to punish the UK for this move. God forbid that England should be allowed to 'clean house' and, once again be the world power that it once was. Godspeed.

I can't believe it! I voted to remain as I think Britain was stronger in Europe. Now I can see Scotland leaving the UK and possibly Northern Ireland, leaving us as a very small country. I hope I am proved wrong, but I think this is a very short sighted and dare I say small minded decision.
