I just heard from the loan officer for the mortgage. The title is cleared and the deed-in-lieu is going through TODAY!
I needed to send him two proofs of residency, which I e-mailed right back to him. The next step as soon as the deed-in-lieu goes through is to sign off with a mobile notary public and I will have the first portion of the relocation money $2500. I will then have 60 days to vacate. An inspection will be set up for the house and at that time I will get the remainder of the relocation money $7500.
It took a lot for me not to scream and shout while he was telling me everything was going through today. I'm so excited. It means I can move in right on time next month when the apartment becomes available.
So now I will be getting everything packed and start taking things to the thrift stores that I no longer need. This house will be completely ready when it needs to be and I will be completely ready to move by this time next month.

Yes. I got approved for an apartment last week. The apartment is available on 20 July. So everything is falling into place just perfect. God is so GOOD! It's a two bedroom apartment. I had the link on one of my posts about it. You were on vacation at the time.

Thank you. That's what the loan officer called it. It helps the person relocate instead of the house going to sheriff's sale. So it's a win/win for everyone.

@Drosophila Yes he is. I'll even have all the packing done so when it comes to whoever will be helping me move, it will only be a load and go.
