Window Sunburn!!

Yes, when we went on our road trip (200 miles round trip) we have no AC, so had my arm out the window and it got sun burned!!
Also, as I mentioned before our dog is a nervous dog when travelling in the pickup. So I have bruises on my leg where she was standing on my leg to see out!! 
We're looking for another vehicle that is economical on gas, like a small car or an SUV. That way she will have the whole seat to herself!! 
But until then, I will bring a pillow the next time so when she wants to stand on me, I'll have a cushion between her and me!!

When I cycled part way across the continent, I was headed the same direction everyday and was noticeably more tanned on the south side. No pets on the bicycle though.

If you don't want your arm burned when driving, cut the left sleeve off of a long sleeved, white shirt and wear on your arm when driving in the sun. It reflects the sun from the arm and also helps protect from sunburn. Some sunscreen first would help also.
