I Did Not Hear a Storm

I did not hear a storm but I woke up with rain blown against the front windows. It feels a little chilly.The temperature is around 70. It was not a lot of rain, just enough to kiss the windows.
Looking at the forecast I see us in a rare summer cooling trend with temperatures topping out in the 80's or lower. That is very cool for Kansas in late June and early July.
It seems I know now why I felt cold in the night as the storm blew in. I even got up and put on a housecoat.
Good morning on Tuesday, my myLot world. I am having my first cup of coffee.

It really does feel cooler, and I have noticed many saying that both here and on Facebook.

@GardenGerty The cool down before the heat sets in. We've had increased temps, but amazingly the humidity has stayed down.

The wind can be good. It stirs the nitrogen into the plant leaves, I have been told.

@GardenGerty Today is lovely and sunny but only 4 degrees outside. There's been a frost so it's soggy outdoors. The dogs are lying in the sun.

Many of us are feeling that way right now. Especially for crops and to prevent fires from fireworks.

I have windows open in a large part of my house. It does not work well in the bedrooms though. I would like for it to.

We're having sprinkles this morning but no storm per se. When I took the dogs out it still felt pretty humid here

Enjoying a cup of coffee when it is raining is a great boon. I like to have such atmosphere. But, we get such one in Sept-Dec..
