Off to Portland tomorrow

Eugene, Oregon
June 29, 2016 12:04am CST
I have mentioned that my daughter bought a house in Portland. Tomorrow, i will head up there with an 80 pound (it seems) coffee table we have stored for her for a long time and a couple of old lawn chairs. We will (maybe) find some dining table chairs to go with the table she bought and pick up something at IKEA for her. My RAV4 allows me to load a lot of stuff. I am taking along a sewing machine that Anne sold to a buyer outside Portland. We can (hopefully) get together to exchange money for machine sometime Wednesday. I have instructions. I hope to leave around 7 AM and be home by 8 PM with two hours driving each way. I packed extra clothing, etc. in case plans change. Needless to say, I won't be around tomorrow, but hope to see you all Thursday. Have you helped your kids move five or six times?

I hope you don't look like that photo tomorrow. I know your car is different :) Luckily we haven't had to help our kids shift. I am starting to have palpitations just thinking about ever having to! Hope you have a good trip. I'm sure your daughter appreciates your help.

Yes, she does. She starts a new job soon too, so lots of changes going on.

2 hours driving isn't to far so that will be nice to be able to still visit here without having to drive half way across the country. My man has a RAV4.

What a good dad you are, your daughter is lucky that you are willing to drive that far to take her things. Have a safe trip.

No. Mine disappears in the night without warning. Once though, I did help her pick a location. It was San Clemente, Paradise. They stayed there about nine years. The boys wanted to stay there forever, but my kid cannot stay put.

We moved into this apartment complex about 6 months ago. My oldest moved out and my second isnt too far behind. I hate the idea of moving. Have a safe trip. Bright Blessings.

I have no kids to help move! And on the other side,my parents never helped me move, I was on my own. I did help my dad move when they got divorced, though.
