No work...no pay!

This is the dilemma of us part time clinical preceptors. We expected to have our duty on the 27th, 28th and 30th; hence, that will be 3 days pay for us part timers. Alas, I received a text message from the clinical coordinator last night that since the birthday of the president of the school was yesterday the 29th, it follows that 30th is no classes/duty day. It is also the inauguration of the 16th president of our country. I still expected duty tomorrow, but there was a follow up text message..."Ma'am, even on Friday and Saturday, there will be no classes". I replied with a "Really, Ma'am? Waaahhh!" and a crying emoticon. The colleague with me last Monday and Tuesday calculated the salary we must receive on the 16th of July; it should be 9 days pay. Now, a day is deducted. Ahh! The dilemma of being a part-time employee. So, how are you being paid in your offline jobs?

So that would mean just half a months salary. Hmm that is bad. I hope it doesn't hurt you too much.

yes, for the first half, we have our salaries, the second half too., we are paid bi-monthly depending on the number of hours per day that we have our duty on.

@sofssu yes, that is why the nurses in the hospital encourage me to applky as nurse 2 or nurse 3 but it will be taxing for me to be in that position.

I am paid by month and when there is no work for more than 2 months, It's sign that company and my job is in trouble. So I try to find company that has plenty of work.

But i think it's still much better to be paid than not have a job at all. But yeah, the down side is when you don't get to work on that day.

I don't have an off line job except a family business to keep an eye on. it's a pain when you have wife and kids, everyday counts.

Yes I know the part time thing but that is one of the pitfalls. The last place I worked there were part tie and full time workers but they were guaranteed a minimum number of hours a week -25 hours so whether there was work or not they got paid the minimum. Are you able to get full time hours or you prefer part time?

part time in my work means i just handle my students in the ares; full time means i should have teaching load, and i will fell so exhausted because my school is situated on a hill, so it is so tiring to walk up then down hill to reach the classrooms.

I have two online 'job' - this and Swagbucks. I'm not on SB very much, so I'm not going to get a payout from them soon, but I'm on course for a payout from myLot.

@ridingbet I have found interaction is the key to earning here. A person can't make much without it. My pennies haven't been adding up very fast lately because I haven't been able to interact like I want to because of the computer and the site problems. Right now it's going better than it has in the past week, so I'm hoping the problems are at an end and I can get back to my earning normal.
