Tarnished

I think it's been about 8 or so years of me always wearing a bracelet on my wrist. Each bracelet has been rubber. I can't seem to keep anything made with a clasp, especially a lobster type clasp. Well, atleast when it comes to my neck. I've never really worn any other bracelet but rubber. I have been looking for a new bracelet to replace the one that finally snapped and broke. The poor thing had been misused terribly. I had used it as a hair tie a time or two, or just as something to worry between my hands. Now I am looking for something tarnished. Something that has that "this is a heirloom" feel to it. I don't want all one material, and am leaning more towards a band made of some sort of cloth material. Hemp is one choice, leather or suede bands another. I have, however, seen a half bangle that you can have inscribed. It caught my eye, though it is all metal. You could choose between a polished look or tarnished look. I'd choose tarnished but then I'm not sure what I'd want inscribed on it. Along those same lines, I've seen celtic type jewelry in the shape of a dragon. Those are nice, but it inspires more "viking" feelings than celtic. Other possibilities have been the Tree of Life and the Trifecta. I am just not sure WHAT as the charm / pendant but whatever it is has to withstand bumps and bangs. I am not a big jewelry person so this is where I come to you. I've been looking on etsy but are there other websites you might recommend? I'd prefer if you've purchased from them site in the past and can give me a good review on it. Remember, my focus is tarnished / celtic truly. I'm not below having jewelry carved from wood as I've seen a few lovely pieces
