I really think our HOA hates us or something. For the past three years they keep gives us silly violations about all kind of things. We don't own the house we live in but my husbands grandparents do so they get all of these violations in the mail when we get hit but the HOA.
So when we went over tonight to visit with my husbands grandparents so they could our kids. They have been out of two for a month. They told us we got hit with a violation as of this week having our kids bikes in our front yard. Okay well we are not the only ones. All of our neighbors leave there kids bikes outside during the summer and they are left all over the places. Our yard gets hit hard with other peoples kids stuff. My kids rarely play out front I normally take them to the park it gives them more room to play and run around. We live in a town hours so the yard isn't big and we don't have a porch or a deck.
I really don't know what they have against us but my husbands thinks someone doesn't that face that we are the only interracial couple with kids in the our neighborhood or the fact that we won't let people park in our front parking space. I think our HOA needs to get a life or something.

Just by having your bike on the yard is a problem?! Wow HOA does have no life!

@ShyBear88 That is very rude. Little kids play, run and they sometimes leave their stuff around.

@infatuatedbby Yep, I normally just bring there bikes back to our yard at the end of the day just like everyone else does. Right now after this letter we put the kids riding stuff in the back yard so they can't say anything but the kids where a bit upset about it.

Yes little kid bikes give them issues for some reason and there is nothing in our ordence that say we can not on our own property.

In my country when we think our HOA is abusing their power, we report them to the government agency called Housing Land Use and Regulatory Board.
If you think your HOA is abusing their power and discriminating you, I think you have to file a complaint to an authority.

I think they are abusing it on use for sure. My husbands grandparents have already set up to see the committee hearing for all of these silly violations.

@toniganzon hopefully they will get down to the bottom of it, for now my kids can't play outside in front of our house.

I know we are not the only ones that get hit with these but we get the most of them it's always something silly. Last year it was the color of our roof, then it was last month the fact we had a mowped which we don't have but one of our neighbors does and it's park in there parking space it never gets moved or ridden. The bikes are the most recent thing. when we come home at the end of the day I or my husband moved our neighbors kids stuff back to there lawn or throw it in the common area. When they do the checks its in the day time when kids are always out playing and stuff. We have tried keeping others off of our lawn but it doesn't always keep them off.
