Happy Treason Day! ; Ungrateful Colonials.

Oh haha! That's the first time I've seen it but I had a chuckle. For those who aren't really sure what the joke's about... I saw this little line posted on an image of the Union Jack. I had to laugh. It's the fourth of July in America, or Independence Day. The Day we declared Independence from the British. Now I know some of the more patriotic might get offended but I'm still laughing at this little joke here.

this made me think of our own Independence Day. The day we got freed from Spain. The country that civilized us lol

That is funny. Of course what we think of historical events depends on our perspective and that is all it is pointing out. (Go Benedict Arnold)

I had to read this post because I agree that the title is brilliant. I cannot see anyone with a sense of humour taking offence at this.

I doubt anyone on mylot will take offense. However, I do have a few patriotic facebook friends who might not see the humor in it.

@ScribbledAdNauseum It has to be one of the most hilarious statements that I have heard for many years.

Hahaha. Bad joke for patriotic people. I hope no one is offended here. Anyway, it's only a joke.

I don't think people will be offended here on mylot. I was more worried that people might take offense on facebook, where I had posted it. I know a few people on my facebook are more patriotic. Then there are those who are proud of their British Heritage and would be happy to laugh right along with me.

Yes, I thought so too. IT's sort of one of those "let me just slip that right into the conversation" sort of jokes. I posted it on my timeline on facebook. I am wondering who all might get offended an feel the need to tell me about it, I do have a few of those people on facebook.
