Wind Bell Sculpture – at Pils or Castle Street was made by Latvian artist I. Berga and opened in 2007 near the bus station. Eight wind bells symbolize eight centuries of Sigulda history. Krisjanis Barons Monument – stands at the intersection of Kr. Barona and Pils Streets. It was erected in honor of Barons 150th Anniversary and its arhitect is Edvins Vecumnieks. Atis Kronvalds Monument – near Sigulda New Castle. Atis Kronvalds was a Latvian writer, linguist and pedagogue. This monument was unveiled in 1938 and the sculptor is Teodors Zalkalns. Rudolfs Blaumanis Monument – at the intersection of Darza or Garden and Parka or Park Streets. Rudolfs Blaumanis was a Latvian writer, journalist and playwright. This monument was unveiled in 1988 and the sculptor is Igor Dobicin. Big Memorial Plaque – at the intersection of Cakstes and Pils Streets. It was made to honor the inhabitants of Sigulda who were deported during the period 1941 – 1949. It was unveiled in 1990 and the sculptor is Karlis Baumanis. Note – there are still many, many objects like lovely churches and places like battlefields to see but impossible to write them all up here. I have chosen some of the more interesting or most popular. There are also for animal lovers a Mini Zoo ”Salmini” or Straws, Deer Garden and Goat Breeding Farm ”Lielgrodes”. There is the Sigulda Cable Car which opened in 1969 and is the only aerial cable-way in the Baltic States. A great way to see the Gauja and the primeval valley. Sigulda even has a Ferris wheel offering lovely views. Only in the summertime. So for an extraordinary experience, for the beauty and nature and the hundreds of other things it all offers come to Latvia and visit Sigulda, the Gauja and the surrounding area. There certainly is @thopefulman Best time to visit is spring around May, summer around July unless the rains come like now and of course golden autumn.

I would be very interested to see the goat-breeding farm. I'm sure the monuments are spectacular too but animals win every time for me! :)

Just like for me @JudyEv but despite having goat farms around goat milk and cheese at market remain extremely expensive.
