Veggies for Hyperacidity

One of these days when I go to my doctor I will ask her if some veggies are really good against hyperacidity or acid reflux. This is my reaction to a post by one of our friends here in myLot.
It is my "tested" regimen, I just chew a fresh leaf of oregano, sometimes a celery stick, fresh leaves of pepper, a clove of garlic, whichever is available at home, then a glass of water, and minutes later, it's gone! If I have ripe papaya, I also scoop some of its flesh to relieve stomach acidity.
I do not want to take chemical drugs, so as much as possible if it can be relieved using alternative ones, I do it. I only suffer hyperacidity when I eat foods made up of glutinous rice or some kinds of bread. So I tried avoiding it.
I do not recommend this for everyone, but there is no harm eating those vegetables.

So true, because vegetables are alkaline so it will neutralize acid in the stomach.

Sounds like a reasonable alternative. I rarely have any trouble and when I do it can be traced to my own stupidity.

I don't really have a problem with acid stomach but natural is often better than chemical.
