I went to Housing this morning with the paperwork showing the house is no longer in my name, and is transferred to the loan company. They printed the necessary paperwork for my worker, and told me they didn't have the paperwork from the apartment complex to schedule the inspection. As I was heading over there anyway, I would mention it to them.
I went over to the complex, she did already e-mail it over, but not directly to my worker, so she took my case number so it would go directly to my worker, and then went to see my apartment. I didn't take pictures as it is ready for repair and painting. Not much outside of painting needs to be done, the carpet in my office and the blinds were the two things I noticed. So I will have pictures as soon as I'm moved in. Seeing it without furniture makes me believe I can make what needs to fit, fit in there, and I can take my treadmill too as I won't have a couch. I'll get a couple nice chairs though for the living room.
They want to get me moved in the end of July so they can charge housing for August, so it will all depend on the inspection at this point.
So to say I'm excited right now is an understatement.
I also stopped by the post office for more stamps - regular and International so I can send out more postcards, which I'm also excited to do.
Just as I was leaving the apartment complex the heavens opened up and the rain descended. I got into my car just in time as it was a torrential downpour that lasted from the time I got in the car to the Post Office.
So that is what I've been up to today. How about you? Any news.

Thank you. I got a letter from the Housing office telling me I need to have those papers signed. I was afraid of that. They were the unsigned copies for me, so the notary didn't sign those ones, only the ones she needed to sign and FedEx to the loan company the next day. So I signed them all today, but they aren't notarized. I'll take them to the housing office tomorrow and see if they will accept my signature on them. Otherwise find out if their notary can notarize them.

@Drosophila I took them to Housing first thing this morning. So now I wait and hope that will be enough. I told her it was only my copies and they weren't notarized because those copies were already sent to the loan company last week.

Nice day Valerie. I just landed my first Upwork job this weekend after I sent out my first 2 proposals. I have a 5 day deadline to get it done. I did lose one job which was closed this morning for proposals. I'm waiting to hear on the 2nd job.

I am very happy with the apartment. I studied each room to make sure about where I would want to put everything. The office there is bigger than my office here, so no problem on that score. It'll feel good to stretch out a little bit.

Yes I am. I should get a call in a week or two for the move in date. The inspection has to be done.
