Today I wanted to replace the keyboard of my Laptop. When contacted the CTC (a famous shop where computer peripherals will be available) about the keyboard replacement he informed me that it would cost Rs.2,500/- and will take half an hour time. I contacted the home computer services . He informed that he would charge Rs.1500/- including his charges. When I inquired about the online price the cost is around Rs.600/- to Rs.900/-. Thus there is a terrific variation in the prices. And in another shop the price was only Rs.1200/- and that he would take just 5 minutes to replace the keyboard. As I was very much decided to replace the keyboard I took the laptop personally and went to another shop in the CTC complex. When I contacted one shop he informed me that he would charge Rs.900/-. I really wondered. If I try still more I may get it for Rs.600/- or Rs.700/-.But, there is no time for me. Enough is enough. I could save some Rs.1500/- just by inquiring with patience. I immediately got it replaced and finished the work. I have also got a good headset also. Really a good and profitable day. I escaped being cheated from.
