Quick Wildflower Walk

Canada
July 13, 2016 7:58am CST
Thought I'd see how quickly I could create a slideshow from scratch this morning. I have a late work shift today so I went for a walk to the river and back. Along the way I snapped fifteen photos of the wildflowers along the way. Most of them are very small and this camera doesn't do close ups very well. There are probably half a dozen varieties that are mixed in almost invisible in these pictures. Only goofed and got my shadow in one of them. Loaded them up just now when I got back created the slideshow and published them. Probably all within an hour. Not a world record but for the technically declined like me that's pretty good. My youngest son is going to help me in the future to make my own background music.
I created this video with the YouTube Slideshow Creator (http://www.youtube.com/upload)

I have created a few slideshows on YouTube, it's very easy and quickly done. I also want to add my personal musics.

My son has a free movie maker program he can install on my computer. He says I probably should get an external microphone to do what I want to do. I play harmonica and jaw harp, my wife plays flute and the mandolin and my daughter is learning guitar. I don't think any of us would have trouble putting together a background music loop.

I can make slideshows using app in my phone. My computer can make a good video editing i was told but i just don't know how to use it at all. Maybe someday when I make my own youtube videos, I'd learn.

We haven't been lacking in rain so when the sun is out the place is very green. The photos aren't even capturing it completely.

That is pretty neat and sounds like you were able to get the music going.

Youtube allows you to pick from available music. It's easy but I want to take it a step further and make my own music loops with the family talent.

Glad people liked it. I'm hoping to get my hands on my wife's tablet. The camera in that takes really good close ups while our regular camera does not. Thanks @bunnybon7 for the boost.

Very nice. Did your son end up helping you put music to this, or was that automatic with youtube? I should take pictures of my weeds in my garden and then the progress I've made when I finally get some seeds into the ground after doing a major job weeding them. I've taken them before, the weeds, but I've never weeded the area totally so that I could plant something in their place. I hope to do that soon if the temps cool down some. If I do take pictures of my weed/flower garden, I could do something similar. Thanks for the idea.

Nature isn't all weeds but beautiful wildflowers also.

Most of these plants would be considered weeds. I think they have beautiful delicate flowers though. The evening primroses are very fragrant down by the river.

@koopharper All wild plants are probably weeds but I always think of weeds as ugly with no flowers to redeems themselves.
