I used to have a lot of dreams that had a narrator who told me what the dream was about. The other night, I had my first dream with an observer. I am puzzled as to why and what does it mean? I don't remember what the dream was about but I remember the observer. He was an old Chinese man with glasses and a beard. He was bobbing up above the dream and just staring at it. The glasses were so he could see it clearly Have you ever had a narrator or observer in a dream? Have you have any weird dreams you could tell us about?

This sounds a bit different. I haven't had this happen to me.

@enlightenedpsych2 That is what I thought when I read it. Maybe she is an ancestor from long ago.

@enlightenedpsych2 , This is actually a common event. I myself was visited by my mother the night after she passed away. Before her burial, I was visited in my dream by my mother and she was crying. I only could figure by this she was letting me know that she was sad to have to leave me and I only hope I see her again in the future. I thought this might be a message that she was crying because she was afraid I might not make it to Heaven or God's heavenly Kingdom but It was a good thing to see her even if it was just a dream or was it a vision?

@akalinus Never had such an experience. The one thing I do know is the dreams that we remember graphically are the ones that hold some meaning to us.

I've had lots of strange dream and lots of repeat dreams. I often still wonder just what they mean and why I have some of the same ones over and over.

I have had a lot of repeat dreams too. I think it has something to do with what is going on in your real life. If you remember the repeats, you can search their possible meanings online.

@akalinus They are repeats of being lost in big buildings....or being chased by someone....or one I am visiting someone and they live way at the top of a building with rickety stairs and I am deathly afraid of heights.

@marsha32 I had repeats of being in school, can't find the room, and miss the test. Also, about merry-go-rounds.

I have had strange dreams but I don't remember ever seeing an observer in one. I can't imagine what it would mean.

An observer sounds fantastic. My problem now is I don't recall my dreams as often as I think I should. You can ignore me on this if you like but I honestly think some dreams are special while some are that pastry you ate yesterday. By special I mean inspiring. I believe in angels and that sometimes they communicate with us in our sleep, the residue is a dream. I say the observer is picture communication. For me the image says, "I am the wise one and with you tonight."

I have had many many strange dreams. I have never noticed an observer though. I have heard that there are people and spirits that can come into your dreams though I have never noticed it in mine. I have never had a narrator either, I usually decipher my dreams the next day. Keep a dream diary. Write down as much as you remember so you can read it later. Keep it by your bed, because the longer you wait, the less you remember.

You can look up the meaning and interpretation of your dream online. I have had many weird dreams. i cannot remember all of these but I do try. Just looked up something earlier and I'm quite satisfied with what I found out.

@akalinus what you can do is visit multiple sites and get a consensus on the meaning of your dreams.

Hmmm... no, I rarely remember my dreams, Jo Ann... Usually, when I do remember them, it is because they are important in some way and I will need to know what I dreamed about for some reason... An observer? Hang on a minute... Nope, can't find that one...

@lookatdesktop took the meds for about a month, it was one night mare after the next, each just as horrible until i stopped the meds. The nightmares are history now but if they continued, they could have driven me over the edge. And the timing was bad,l was suffering from issues( l never want to use word mental problems) l just call them issues.

This is something I've never come across before and this sure is interesting. I never had any "observer" or any "narrator" in my dreams but more often than not I end up dreaming things I've never seen in my real life: people I've never met; places I've never been to; people conversing in languages that I hardly know of. I even dream of places that are remote or have become somewhat obscure and on more than one occasion I even saw things that made no sense at the time I saw them but the same happened in the future. That's that.

Wow, that is strange, too. A lot of things in dreams make no sense. Your dreams might be predictions to help you with things that happen in the future.

@The_Bong_Woman When there is a narrator, I don't see him, just hear the voice. I did see the observer.

@akalinus Perhaps so. But some dreams really make no sense at all! And honestly these sort of dreams leave me exasperated for I find myself going back to them over and over again; to no avail though! Anyways, you said you have a narrator in your dreams. Do you see him or is it just a voice floating around to guide you in your dreams?

Wow that's weird. Never had a dream where someone is narrating anything to me. Never had a dream of someone observing my dream as well. It's always like I'm watching a movie or a scene where I'm the lead character of course. Or it would be in a first person view. This is cool! Your dreams sound awesome! Not sure who that observer might be though.

In the Book of Genesis a man named Joesph whom God gave interpreters of dreams. He got his intrerpretations for our God and he let the people know that, so that the glory was given to God not to Joesph. God is the interpreter of dreams. Seek Him first in all that you do and He will crown your efforts. You must know Him through His Son Jesus Christ who made the bridge between us and Goda and made a way for us to be saved for all eternity. The Bible says; "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish (go to hell) but have eternal life. How about you do you believe i Jesus Christ? Today is the day of salvation don' put it off as we do not know when our days will end on the earth. He loves you the way you are but too much to leave you there.
