The Cupcakes for the Cup Cake Ladies Lawn Bowling Day tomorrow are baked! During this time I had plenty of silence in the house to have mayhem in my mind - you know that feeling? Overdrive and into the earworm of the Sunscreen Song which I love to listen to, even if its in my own head mostly but many of the truths stated in this song, ring true! I would love to list them all, but that might prove an error on mylot, so I shall give you a little read about the ones I declare as my favorites - you may join in and list your own with why they are on your list! The introduction is vital especially for a lawn Bowling fanatic like myself: ~ "If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it The long-term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists" this is one that often bothers me . . . ~ "Don't worry about the future Or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing Bubble gum" aint that the truth!! Certainly one I take to heart and very seriously! ~ "Saying, don't be reckless with other people's hearts Don't put up with people who are reckless with yours" ~ "Keep your old love letters, throw away your old bank statements" Absolutely! (I have all my old love letters) ~ "Be kind to your knees You'll miss them when they're gone" undoubtedly a fact for all lawn bowling fanatics! FACT . . . ~ "Do not read beauty magazines, they will only make you feel ugly" ~ "Understand that friends come and go But a precious few, who should hold on" those that stand the test of time for sure. This is one that the myLot foundation has made a great contribution toward: ~ "Work hard to bridge the gaps in geography and lifestyle For as the older you get, the more you need the people you knew when you were young" And the second last one I really love is ~ "Be careful whose advice you buy but be patient with those who supply it Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of fishing the past From the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts And recycling it for more than it's worth" to conclude my day of singing the sunscreen song, I must say there are a few basic rules . . . .
