Yeehaw, the Pastures are Cleared

Normally I would pull all the weeds of the 5 acres of pastures by hand and it generally takes me 2 months to get the job done. With my ailing health it is no longer possible to do it. It was getting to the point that I couldn't see the donkeys and I worried that I couldn't see any wild hogs or coyotes entering the property.
I called around town for references for someone to come out and cut the pastures. A young kid (22) came out and I walked him around and asked for a price. He said $80. I told him that was way too cheap. He said how about $100; I'm not really in it for the money, I just like to help people. What a great kid!!
He came out the next day and it took 2 hours but he did a great job. He said he does other things too like cut trees, so he's on the list to do other things for me that I can't do any more. You can bet your sweet bippy that that kid is on my calling list of "to-do's".
Oh, and you should have seen the donkeys. They were running around like their butts were on fire; chasing each other. Before that kid came out, I couldn't even see the donkeys in the pastures and all they had were little trails to walk through. I am one happy camper.

@nanette64 I couldn't agree with you more. It seems like everyone is out for what they can get instead of giving like this young man is doing.

This kid is definitely a rarity @LadyDuck . I'll let him know that Switzerland and your place should be on his list.

I was shocked @BelleStarr . It's nice to know that there are still some people with moral values.

Losing strength, tired all the time. Simple chores seem like massive struggles @jaboUK .

It's really frustrating for me @hostessman . I'm one of those "gitter' done" types and it's mentally and physically ticking me off.
