At this point I think I have tried hundreds of tapes and sealants for wounds and haven't been able to find one that can be used on my stumps as well as upper legs. The problem is the adhesive doesn't bend all that well if you press down on the bandage to seal it in place, after all, that's the point of it. I like that it is precut into sections but when you go to rip it you end up stretching out the sides and running the risk of having it stick to itself. You can write on the surface of it to mark the date or time and you can use the sections intact or rip them into individual pieces. You will need scissors if you want to cut this to size, ripping it by hand is impossible.
It is breathable but if you are dressing something that is leaking you are going to want to change it often to avoid puckering or breakdown. As far as removable, the only time I have had any problem is when I was changing the dressing every couple hours and the adhesive started to build up on my skin. If you are using this near the pubic area, make sure it is free of hair because you will have some massive pain when removing the Medipore.
This is sold in a couple different formats including shaped / formed pieces that have an absorbent center. Most insurance companies will cover these when you need something stronger or larger than paper tape. If you need something larger than paper tape or something that can be custom cut to size, this is worth trying to protect wounds while they are in the healing process.
