Heavy work done for the day

Canada
July 20, 2016 6:29pm CST
Did a good bit of wood cutting, chopping and hauling today. Boys pitched in with the hauling. That was appreciated. They can be a little hard to motivate sometimes. Got a late start with myLotting but I've got time before I head to bed. Going to sleep well tonight.

You have lots of time yet before the snow fly's. Nice to have a head start though.

@koopharper Know what you mean there. I had a couple of years ahead only the darn pile fell over lol I guess it was thinking I needed the work.

@Bluedoll Trying to stack carefully in an effort to avoid that.

I light years ahead of previous seasons so I'm not complaining. I would love to go through the entire winter without having to fire up the chainsaw even once or lift the maul to bust up froze logs. I'd love to have a whole pile left over for the next year.

I have to cut in pieces the long bamboo stalks that I have removed, so I can put them on the road the day they come for the garden waste.

Lots of work there. As always be careful. Bamboo can be incredibly sharp.

@koopharper Yes, I have noticed when I had to make my way through the plants to remove the old dried out stalks.

The picture is from pixabay. I didn't have time to take a picture of how my piles are coming along. I'm sure I'll do that when they start looking a little more impressive.

@infatuatedbby Sometimes it's a lot easier to find an appropriate photo on pixabay than taking a new one, downloading it from the camera, possibly resizing it and then adding it to a discussion. Discussions always do better with an image of some kind.

Is the tree cutting your own business?

Hard physical activity like that generally ensures a good night's sleep.

It's not a frazzled overworked or stressed out tired, which happens to me plenty. I enjoy this kind of tired. Hopefully more progress can be made tomorrow.

Lots of work to do yet on that count before the cold weather gets here. Hoping to be way ahead of it when it does.

I like to think I'm still fit enough to do that kind of work. The truth is that I'm just really really stubborn.

I always sleep better after a bit of exercise. We're off to make a few more picture frames shortly. I know that's not really exercise but them's the breaks.

Lots of work to do. I'm hoping this year to have more than enough to go through the whole winter and still have quite a bit leftover.

I need to emphasis to them that I'm not the only one who wishes to be warm this winter.

Rarely get that hot here. If it is too hot though I'll go in and write when it's hot and then do the heavy work in the evening when it's cooler.
