All Kinds of Issues

I made it to my herb class, and it was, as usual a nice day. Lots of good food, information and ideas. Hubby left for his car show, but had transmission problems on the way. It did eventually fix itself, but he was afraid to be on the road to the show, so he beat me home. I am sorry he did not get to go. I am sorry and nervous about the truck. Based on what we read, though, the problem could be that the transmission fluid and filter got dirty. I am even wondering about whether or not a little bit of gravel ended up in the system somehow. I do not think it is the heat, although I am tempted to blame everything on it. It will keep him from deciding that we must go out to eat. The little car does not have a/c, and my Monte Carlo is at my friend's house, as I have kept her van to pick her up when she flies back home. I am not driving her van extra. Hope you are having a good day. I have a few messes bothering me.

A few messes bothering me too. Now it's 5 pm and Steve is still napping....do I let him sleep as I have in the past or do I go in and ask if he is getting up for something to eat. It really bothers me when he goes to lay down for 30 minutes and it ends up being 4 hours...yet at the same time it means he's not bothering me or my mom.

It also means he probably needs the rest. I would only get him up if I intended to make a meal for him. He does not usually wake you up, does he? Is there something he should be doing? It sounds as if what we need to do for the truck is going to be around $300.

That's a shame you can't go out to eat. We've been out two nights in a row now so we're staying in tonight.

I'm like you, blaming the heat on everything. It is just so hot and humid, how can you not? I hope you are able to get the vehicle situation worked out.

I hope you get those little messes sorted so you can relax and enjoy the rest of the day... car troubles can be expensive can't they ... is your husband good with things like that... or would it have to go to the shop to get fixed...

Transmission problems are scary. I nursed an old car with a transmission problem for quite awhile. It was a relief that it never actually broke down. That was the last time Canadian Tire ever did any work on one of my vehicles.

I'm sorry he couldn't get to the car show and the truck is giving him problems. I hope you're managing to stay cool in the heat.

I'm always feeling so lost without a car,but you reminded me that even with a car, there are sometimes problems. So maybe I'm doing okay without one after all. I hope things get straightened out very soon for both of you!
