It's Raining... Pallets?

The following is a description, whether creative or not is yet to be seen, of a dream I recently had.
For those unaware of the terminology, a pallet is either a plastic or wooden surface used to hold merchandise. Recently, they have also been used (the wooden ones) as furniture and other creatively crafted items.
The clouds were growing grey and heavy with impending rain. Rain that was much much needed for these scorching days of summer. I was out with family at a restaurant we frequent and enjoying the meal that seemed to go by too fast. We were leaving the parking lot in a different manner than normal due to a blockade at the exit.
We weaved our way through stacked pallets when we came across a truck. The truck was smaller than a tractor trailer, but still reasonably massive in size. It had an unloading feature and was currently going around unloading more pallets.
The truck suddenly stopped with us only a foot or so behind it in our own car. The pallets started to tumble down from the truck in a unorganized manner and we soon found our car covered in them.
Luckily no damage was done to the car and we did have a few gaps where we might be able to bang on the windows for help. However the car was stiflingly hot and with the addition of the pallets, we were finding it hard to breathe. Movement in the car was also restricted as there were three of us in the back seat.
I banged as best I could but my hands soon grew numb and my voice hoarse from the screaming. The rest of the occupants of the car were angry and yet I was beyond that. I was mortified and scared we might die there.
A few moments later the truck driver, who had moved up the makeshift road, left. He actually left in a different truck, his own smaller truck.
It was only then, when I was sure we would die, that a family member requested I dial 911 from my phone.
I am not sure WHY I had not thought of it sooner, but was able to dial the number and explain where we were and what had happened. I woke up soon after.
This is only one of the two dreams I had last night. I left out details of the dining experience itself because it would have taken longer to explain the dream.

Dreaming of pallets? Maybe you are expecting or rather not expecting a delivery?

No, this is much more straight forward unfortunately. I work with pallets at my job, being a stock clerk. I think the pallets, and it's suffocating was meant more as a literal translation to the current goings on at work.

Dreams sure are weird at times aren't they? Have you ever read up on the meanings of certain dreams?

@TheHorse .......They can be weird and less than understandable. Interpretations are interesting to me though.

There is a website I go to, dreammoods, where I will read the symbols of dreams. I haven't tried to look this one up. Mainly because I think it's quite literal.
I used to have a dream dictionary of my own, but really I find that the symbols people have written are only suggestions and rarely completely true for me.

@ScribbledAdNauseum There may be some universals, but I think we also each have our own libraries of dream symbols. I do try to separate manifest from latent content before anything else.

That was really a strange dream that you had. Did you get out of the car and did you get help.
