Another fruit that I love is jackfruit. It is in season right now here in the Philippines.. I had seen at a store that they are selling a few slices of this this noon time. I was craving for it, so even if it is a bit pricey, I bought one slice. I chose the part with a darker yellow because I believe this one is sweeter than the other parts which are lighter in color. After having lunch, I cut it into two and tasted it. Yup, it tastes so sweet. I also envy those who have this fruit at their backyards because we can't grow it at ours because of termites. We used to have one tree that was growing but we had to cut it when we renovated the house. Do you like this fruit? Do you like its smell?

@brokenbee According to some people the 'strong aroma' is a very bad smell.

I never had it before. But I've seen it used in cooking shows. Not sure if it's in season at my local grocery store.

We use jackfruit as vegetable and we make dishes with it. It is cut, sliced and then fried and is eaten as cooked vegetable dish.

You might want to call an exterminator to kill the termites. I have never heard of jackfruit. It does not look appealing to me though.

Oh yes! I love jackfruit. We used to have a tree in our backyard but was cut down due to house renovation. I used to put them in a container and freeze them. I like to eat them frozen. They tastes like ice-cream.
