These days waiters have me questing, how much they pay attention to there customer and how they are serving some one. It always drives me nuts when the put things down in front of the little kids like babies and very young toddlers. I say to myself really, you don't put food or drinks in front a very small child while serving or one they will knock it all over the places. Not something parents want to deal with at the being of there meals.
I see this more and more with waiters it's like they don't think before putting stuff in front little kids. I know many times I have to move food or drinks from in front of my 18 mo th old because a waiter just outa stuff down with out evening looking even though they know their is a small child there, ugh!

I can certainly understand. I have to wonder the same thing. Why would they put a hot pizza, let's say, right in front of the toddler. I can understand that maybe that's where they can put, maybe that's where the available space it. But still ... Instead of putting it in front of the baby or toddler, make room elsewhere on the table.

I think it's okay to ask the adults at the table to move stuff so you can put hot food away from a child. It doesn't happen often but some time we will be asked to move things.minalways try to movie things as far away from my 18 month old as possible when we go out to eat. My husband use to be. Waiter so he knows how to work tables and move stuff around

@ShyBear88 I agree. I don't mind if they ask me to move stuff. I will sometimes just do it without them asking.

Carat her someone is a regular customer or not. I noticed this all of time and lot of places we do go to regularly but even those waiters lack this as well. My husband is ashamed becIse he use to be a waiter.

I am a server and I understand completely what you are saying. I always try to put the food away from babies and kids seeing as how my 2 year old likes to grab everything in sight.
