Update on my accidental fall

I posted about how I fell flat on my back on a concrete patio last week. I appreciated all the kind wishes and am so thankful to God that I didn't break any bones.
I really should have gone to the doctor the next day, though, especially since I was vomiting during the night. But I just thought I'd be okay, since nothing seemed to be broken.
I was awfully sore all over, of course, but didn't let that slow me down too much. I worked two days later and did mostly all I needed to do. I started feeling like I was going to pass out and was so tired and spacey feeling. I finally decided to see my doctor on day five. I also developed a terrible headache.
He ordered a CT scan of my head to be sure I didn't have a brain bleed and praise God, it was normal. But he said I most likely have a concussion, even though my head didn't hit the pavement. That's why I'm so weak and tired and faint feeling. He said it may take a month or so to recover and in the mean time to try to rest and don't do anything that takes a lot of focus or concentration.
I guess my brain got bounced around in my skull and needs to settle down. Just hope I have a few brain cells left!

@1creekgirl I rushed to close a window during a thunderstorm and I did not notice that the rain had entered and the tiles were wet. It was a terrible fall, I almost broke an elbow.

You must have had a serious concussion. Did the ginger help?

@AkoPinay I will try the ginger tea since I'm still a little unsteady at times.
Concussion is a term for traumatic brain injury. Thankfully mine isn't as serious as some.

@porwest Comical post, but I'm sure there was nothing funny about it at the time. Glad you weren't hurt worse.

@1creekgirl I remember once looking for something on the top shelf of my closet. I moved a game box or something and had forgotten I was storing a pretty heavy (I don't even know what you call it, but it had a place for pens, a rolodex, note paper and so on and so forth) on top of it. I heard something slide and before I knew what it was and could get out of the way it hit me square in the head by the corner of it. Drew blood and hurt like hell and left a mark and hurt for days after, but I survived it.
The thing (whatever it was) did NOT survive though. I mangled it to pieces in a fit of rage. I don't know if I ever found what I was looking for. At that point I'd probably lost interest.

Concussions are dangerous for any age people. I am glad you saw the doc. My wife hit her head pretty hard several weeks ago and had a scan done too. I joke that they "found nothing."

What a mercy you weren't injured worse. Concussions are bad, but manageable, at least. Hopefully the recovery will be swift. Prayers and blessings.
