I Missed My Doctors Call

My doctors nurse called me a little while ago and I missed the call. I wasn't expecting a call until next Wednesday. The told me on the 27th that it would take about a week for the doctor to get the results of my thyroid aspiration. I wonder why they called back so quickly. It has been two days. I tried to call back when I found the messaged but she was gone for the day. My doctor told me that she would call and tell me that everything was ok herself when she got the results. She also told me that if she needed to talk to me about the results she would have her nurse call me to set up an appointment. They will not be back in the office until Monday. I will be concerned all weekend long. I don't know if it is good that they have some kind of result back so quickly or it is bad.

I hate waiting over the weekend. It seems like something like this always happens on a Friday.

@celticeagle I know what you mean. If I am going to get sick it always seems to happen on a Friday evening.

@marlina it has. About 18 years ago I had a needle biopsy on my thyroid and it was benign. It is now pressing against my windpipe.

@marlina I will be thinking about it all weekend. My husband believes that they will be doing something to the thyroid. It bothers me I feel like they might have to try to shrink it.

@dodo19 it is hard to not worry. I have aklmost mak=de up my mind that there is nothing I can do about the results so I try not to think about it.

Maybe the nurse would have left a message asking that you schedule an appointment if the news wasn't good? Keeping my fingers crossed that all is okay for you
