Yay! So this morning my husband went online whir our bank and filed for an auto loan for a used car. They came back after they had closed for today. Saying we couldn't have $12,000 for a car but we could have $11,200. On Monday we will go and pick up the check for that. We will try to try the van over there to carmax and get what we can for it and add it to what we get from the bank. There is one car we are waiting to see but if we find something better tomorrow then we will get that van. There is three at another dealership that we want to see in person that is for $4k-$7k. I'm hoping to find a car that we like and fits the 5 car seats needed.

That sounds like good news! 
Be sure to check if there is any warranty for encase if anything happens to the car, will they cover it since the car is pre-owned/used.

Bought our first car through carmax and we have had the car we currently own for 5 years and we just paid it off last October. They gave us a 6 year warrently on the car no big major fixes on it yet and it's a 2007 Ford Focus. So they are really good and we trust them. Most all car dealships can offere between 30 days to 6 years depending on how long you get your loan for. But always do your home work which we will do.

Most big pre-owned dealerships will give you a good warranty, just don't go to the smaller ones. Some of my friends got ripped off and received lemon cars.

@infatuatedbby we are nor buying any car without a warranty. We Rs looking at a car from a small places but we looked at the reviews before going out to this places and they are partered with Sam's club which they will not partner with just anyone. The prices is about $7,000. We looked at the van today but driving it tomorrow to see if it really is the one. We are going to see what the warrants are when we go in tomorrow. If they cover everything for the next 6 years then we will take it.

It's nit really a deal but money from the bank that we have to give back to the bank so we can buy a car. I'm spur purses they gave my husband $11,200

Looking for a used one. I would never buy a new car right off the lines. There values go down by a lot. Used is better because it's already been driven around.
