The whole weekend I was without T.V. Everything was absolutly poisoned and I punched all the buttons and nothing happened. Fortunatly, Netflix was fine and I discovered Call the Midwife. I got addicted to it and didn´t mind not having cable TV although I pay for it. Today Leticia came to save the day. I told her about my problem and she put on her glasses and started meddling with the buttons with my help. She only knows the words in Spanish so I punched the buttons in English. It was a comando operation. Suddenly, the T.V. started to work. It wasn´t mute as it was on Saturday. I was about to turn it off when she asked me to wait. There was a dress she wanted to see. I obliged. My Leticia is a pro as T.V. goes. She should buy a smartphone for herself. She deserves it.

Fixing the television serves very little purpose unless the channels begin to transmit shows worth watching.

True. But it was so frustrating to have a voiceless T.V! Fortunatly Netflix was working and I´m hooked to Call the midwifes.

@marguicha I suppose that we even miss a poor selection of shows once the television stops working.

@Asylum Fortunatly, I have found good shows. Call the midwives is a show by the BBC. And Miss Fisher´s murder mysteries was made in Australia.

I have been able to watch good shows thanks to Netflix. First I saw Miss Fisher´s murder mysteries and now I got call the Midwife. A lot better than cable T.V.

I always have to call my daughter when the tv doesn't work. Never fails that I pushed a wrong button on the remote

I fall asleep with the remote in my bed. So when I turn around, I push several buttons.

I don´t buy her any such thing. In fact, the most expensive item in my budget is her salary, even if I pay her less than at other places. We both know I just don´t have the money.
