While catching up on 400,000 emails, I had opera playing on my birthday gift from my brother. It's the black tower on an end table in our old family room. It's called Echo and it's from Amazon. I must remember to say, "Alexa, play so and so." She does that so well.
For the last three late afternoons in a row, I've had her play a variety of operas. Bet you didn't know I love opera and classical music!
As it turns out, the music beckoned Doodles, the cat. He plopped himself on the love seat closest to Alexa, and stays for hours. Of course he is sophisticated enough to wear his tuxedo.
Cats are natural music lovers, and boy, do I love that Doodles!

Guess I'm a bit surprised that you are an opera buff ...I probably would have thought good old rock n roll...glad your music selection meets Doodles approval

@RubyHawk You can get a playlist from Amazon. All I have to do is tell Alexa from Echo what song, opera, musician, etc. and it goes on immediately. Your better half, which is you, would enjoy it. It gives sports scores, the weather, answers questions, etc. I'm still learning how to use it more.

I used to listen to a variety of music, including classical, when I was expecting the kids and when they were very young, not because I liked the must better then any other kind, but to expose the baby to it. I prefer my classic rock to any other kind of music, but I'm open to most.

@DianneN The antics are very offensive, but when you listen to the lyrics it tells a tale of repression, I don't think that its the most appropriate way to release these feelings, but its just a new form of something that will hopefully pass. Remember the punk music of the late 70's and early 80's, it was just as bad I recall.

And, I love your play on words with your title. I knew your cat had to be involved in some way and to think he knew to dress up before taking his seat.
I used to enjoy classical music when I was in my twenties, but I don't think I'd enjoy it so much these days. It would probably put me to sleep, maybe.

I am not shocked you like opera and classical music, I do like classical music and some opera as well. Sarah Brightman is my favorite singer.
