Warning: "Long running script," then the screen freezes

This happens several times a day, usually when I am trying to respond to a discussion on Mylot. It happens nowhere else. I wonder if it is the ads? Everything stops except Oprah's tears in that ad. A popup says that I can stop the script or debug it, but neither seems to work. Eventually, it either goes away or closes MyLot. I am wondering if anyone else is having this problem?

I am having the same problem right now, it's getting on my nerves. It's slowing me down to a crawl and I'm getting disgusted. I wanted to make more comments but I'm about to give up.

What a pain it is for it to slow to a crawl! Happening now for me too. I hope it gets addressed.

@JamesHxstatic If your Java, by Oracle, is up to date and your Adobe flash player is working and up to date I don't know what might be causing the problem unless perhaps you have too many open tabs or your browser has too many add-ons installed.

@JamesHxstatic Do you think it's because so many people are on the site?

This happened to me earlier today and it drove me crazy! I have seen others say the same thing happens to them also.

Is it possible long running scripts are the cause for Oprah's tears? Perhaps we will never know.

I have had that happen a fw times and I close the tab and than go back into my lot. That works every single time.

@jamesHxstatic nope no problems here. I work on my desktop PC. My hubby works on a laptop and he has these problems about the script and a lot of problems about plug-ins.

I haven't experienced this one so far, Anthony - but then, if @Owlwings is correct, that would be because I'm in the UK!

I have not had that issue for a while and assumed that it had been solved.

Fortunately It has not happened to me.I suspect that whether or not has this problem depends on where you live.

I used to have that problem on Bubblews, but not here. It's a bummer, isn't it?

Are you doing it on FireFox? I had that sort of problem there and I don't use it anymore. I do this on Chrome.

This happens off and on to me. I have to shut down the browser completely then open it back up. There have been days or nights that my screen would freeze with java script error messages that never seemed to go away. Fortunately I haven't had this problem for the past several days.

That is exactly what is happening to me. The first time it said I could debug, I did and the computer ran for quite a while on myLot. But since the first time, nothing happens.
