A Good Day for Cleaning

I've had a busy day. I had an appointment this morning and after getting back home, I took a cleaning notion. If you're like me, it's best to strike while the iron is hot, so I did. I cleaned and polished, mopped floors, vacuumed and gave the bathroom a good going over. I even scrubbed the hood of my gas stove. Of course, I had to stop every once in awhile to read and I like on mylot.
I did a load of laundry and then ran to the store to get a gift for my daughter in law who has a birthday coming up. I found the cutest ceramic pot for her. It's about knee high and a cream color with shells scattered around the sides. It's really beautiful and matches her decorative colors.
I know she will love it. Tomorrow is even busier so I wont be on mylot as much as usual, but I will put in some time here. Everyone sleep well tonight and get ready for myloting tomorrow. I'll see you then.

yes ma'am, i get those spurts'f energy. tend to clean from floor to ceilin', lol. that pot sounds lovely :) i'll be gone most'f tomorrow myself hopefully. momma'n the aunt feel that 'twixt the 3 'f 's, we ought to be able to drive to'n fro from that fabric store that's jest callin' my name, lol. peaceful slumber!

Sounds like fun, I love fabric stores,. What do y'all plan to sew? For me it would most likely be a quilt or curtains. Although I made curtains for our apartment last year, I wont make those for a good while. Sometimes I make quilt covers. Enjoy your drive and have fun,.

@RubyHawk i've now 'nough material to make 't least 4 'f those lap quilts with shams, plus 'xtra to fashion a few other thingies. 'course, momma bought a pattern'n material 'n now i'm bein' roped 'nto makin' her a dress...i despise makin' clothes! jest aint my forte, but i love her'n'll do my best anyhow.
i also got a beautiful remnant (2 1/4 yrds) 'f upholstery velvet i've plans'n makin' into window shades fer this winter. with the backin''n 't 'long with some battin' such ought to help keep out those cold northerns when they blow.

@crazyhorseladycx You have a lot of projects ahead, I've only made one lap quilt. i made it for my daughter in laws grandmother who was in the nursing home. i used to make clothes for myself, and shirts and pajamas for the boys, but it's been awhile. I mostly make bed quilts and curtains now. I found a large remnant some time ago that I plan to use for something. it's not exactly quilt material but it would cover cushions nicely.

What a energetic day. Yes, sleep well tonight. It has been cooler here so I have been able to sleep better.

I was going to do laundry, but it's rainy.
The only thing I've done is a little in my craft room. However, that was mostly moving stuff from one place to another so I could get to what I needed. I put very little in a place where it actually belongs and threw very little into the trash sack.

I find my will to clean comes in waves. I have to ride that wave when it comes along otherwise the work may never get done. Right when I think I've got all the house cleaned and in control, it looks like a tornado struck again and its the same process all over again.

It sounds like you got a lot of cleaning done today. I love to clean so I do a lot everyday. Cleaning is very relaxing for me.

Here I am the next evening. We had company today and my better half has therapy later. the pot is gorgeous, i was tempted to keep it myself, but i have to keep everything to a minimum in our apartment. No, I wasn't really tempted, but i loved the look of it.
