My continuing saga of "The Fall"

It's been two weeks since I fell flat on my back on the patio. As I said, I am so very thankful I didn't break any bones.
Did end up with a concussion, though and it's taken a lot out of me. I'm very spacey (more than usual!) and very tired. I went to my doctor today and got a steroid injection in my hip for Bursitis which was triggered by the accident.
I told my husband I feel like a Hypochondriac because there's always something going on. He said that I didn't imagine the fall or any of the other stuff.
But I certainly have so much to be thankful to God for. His mercies are everlasting.
Have you ever had a concussion? What was your experience?

@Marty1 I think that's still true. My husband kept checking on me during the night, between the vomiting spells, but we didn't realize I might have a concussion. I think waking someone up is to make sure they haven't slipped into a coma.

@1creekgirl , nothing but being sore and some bruises!! Some times when I know I might fall, I try to be extra careful and then I'm sore from holding myself in a certain way!! lol

Were you seriously hurt any of those times? I know I'm being really careful how I step.

@1creekgirl I think I may be permanently concussed just from living in a very bruising world!

From what I know it takes awhile to recover from a concussion so you might experience that spacey feeling for a bit longer

@Marilynda1225 Don't know how old you are, but as we age, falls become more common.

@1creekgirl God is merciful indeed...you are so lucky!! I've had quite a few bad falls too and didn't get seriously hurt which would have been horrible

Thank heavens you didn't break any bones @1creekgirl but a concussion is bad enough. I had one when my husband slammed my head through the wall right where a triple light switch was.

Oh, that's horrible. Did you heal ok? I'm sure it took a long time to recover from the physical and emotional wounds.

When my husband was dying we thought until the autopsy was completed 6 months later that it was from the concussion. It was not the concussion that killed him but it still scares me any time my children fall because I am scared of them getting a concussion. My son did have a slight one last summer right before school started again. I was terrified.

When I was taking my sister on the scooter a Car came behind and knocked us down. Then my sister had it.

Hope she's ok now. You could have both been very seriously injured.
