another vaguely paranoid thought

So, I'm on the bus, enjoying the view from the window.
I can see fields. Lots of fields. Trees. Bushes. Gates to Nowhere {we should visit}. We're about to go past the travellers' site {need a bike? - they have loads for sale; just name your price}. An occasional farm speeds fuzzily by. There are oodles of ditches. I can see for miles and miles and miles.
But one thought has come along and bopped me on the head.
Those pink flowers. They're everywhere. They're in people's gardens, they're in my garden, they're growing out of the ditches and bushes.
I think they're weeds. I'm not a gardener ... I know nothing about anything. If it looks pretty, I like it. If it looks ugly, I don't. But these are a flowering weed {yes, we shall call it that} which I've never noticed before. Or, I'm noticing it this year because it is everywhere. So when I spied a whole bunch of them advancing out of a ditch in the quaint and quirky village we just passed through, my mind went into overdrive.
It's aliens! screeched the voices in my head.
Honestly, I'm enjoying my longish holiday off work but I think my mind needs to be challenged somehow, in order to stop me thinking randomly ridiculous thoughts.

@poppylicious What on earth are you doing on the bus this early if you're still on a longish holiday?

Baby Toddler Niece duties ... my SiL is a headteacher and her excuse is that she has to pop into work to get stuff done. We suspect she's just indulging in child-free spa days and the like. Not that I mind.

I haven't got one on my phone/tablet and the bus was too fast. And now, I just can't be bothered. *grin*

It's not cherry blossom. I'm pretty sure it's cherry blossom which is housing the alien bugs in the telly show Braindead though. I love Braindead.

@Poppylicious I had found small white flowers in my garden that I have never been able to find online. May be your alien theory is right.
