Mom bought a new flash drive usb this afternoon as she wants one of their songs for the dance transferred here. So Downloaded this video and insert the usb, but to my surprise, the device isn't recognized. Then there was a note says "the last usb inserted malfunctioned and no longer recognized by windows" etc. I tried to put it in several times and still doesn't work. So, I went to my mom's old linux os laptop. By then I've transferred the files to the old usb and put it to that laptop, then transferred it to the new usb, which worked surprisingly. I told her earlier that the USB was defective, now I was wrong, it seems mine is

@toniganzon well, it worked on my moms laptop so that means something's wrong with my laptop's OS.

I had encountered the same problem before. I don't know how to fix it. So I'm using an external drive to transfer from one PC to another.

I had my discussions with that to my brother and told me it's even eye sore if the external hard drive malfunctions through process of transfer of files.. but I did thought of having one myself @rachz_kisses

Sometimes if the driver with Windows is not installed then such issue happens. I usually check with linux machine to see if the device is really having issue.. You can check with others machine or even download the driver and see if thaat works.
