I didn’t realize that it’s so easy to grow mint plants. I got myself a pot of soil and I pulled out a couple of small mint stems with leaves. I then created some holes in the soil and just planted them in. No special preparation. I used common garden soil. Then I watered them daily. The photo above is the mint plants after about a week.
The mint can be used for garnishing in salad or made into mint tea. Totally refreshing.
Do you also enjoy mint?
Have you tried growing mint plants?

@skysnap I didn't know that as I thought that herbal plants are hard to grow. Have you tried growing other herbal plants too?

@succeednow It is an invasive plant, so many people call it as a weed.
No matter how you want to get rid of it, once it takes root in the ground, nearly impossible to get rid of it.

@scheng1 I didn't know that mint is actually a weed. I thought it is a herbal plant. I'll make sure I grow mint separately from other plants. Thanks for the advice.

@succeednow If you grow mint in the garden it spreads everywhere - just grow it in a pot like you are doing.

@Svidrigaylov Yes, I'm growing in a pot as shown in the photo. Anyway I don't have a garden. Wish I had then I can grow my own herbs, vegetables and fruit trees.

@PurnaSharma I'm sure there are lots of benefits from consuming mint. The reason I wanted to grow them in a pot is because I can have access to freshly plucked mint leaves whenever I have need for them.

@JESSY3236 That's unusual to put mint in cookies. You should try mint ice cream which is delicious and refreshing at the same time.

@LadyDuck I didn't know that until I started this discussion. However, there's no need to fear as I do not have a garden. I can only enjoy my plants in pots.

@succeednow I should have contained my mint in pots, the plants have spread in a big area of the garden. I have to pick them up several times a year to avoid more spreading.
