My UFO sighting explained

Canada

About a month ago I went outside during the night to use our lack of facilities when I saw what looked like a shooting star. Meteor showers are always kind of exciting to watch. Then something weird happen. The short flash across the dark sky came again like a slightly off angle continuation of the first one and then again and again until it was lost on the horizon. That got my attention. I'd never seen anything like it. What on earth or from anywhere else for that matter make a light streaking in short bursts all the way across the night sky? Aliens? Top secret military equipment? And why every streak just a little off the trajectory of the previous one? A couple days ago I saw a similar streak of light on a windy night. It was a firefly. I think my sighting was some poor firefly caught in a strong wind trying to signal for help. Ever see your own unexplained phenomena or even a UFO or aliens?

a firefly! You sure it was really a firefly that you saw about a month ago? Could have been real aliens.

@toniganzon I think that was erased from my memory before I was sent here. I really don't remember anything at all before I was four years old. Then I only remember a few things. The mind wipe they did must have caused a great deal of brain damage. I must've been a genius before.

Maybe I'm actually one of them.

Never saw one but I believe there are other intelligent creatures than we humans in the universe.

For me a bigger question is whether warp speed is possible. If it is not possible to exceed the speed of light even if there is other intelligent life living on other planets, we are essentially quarantined away from each other.

@franxav And they're just too smart to try to deal with us, eh?

@koopharper lot of experiences... such as one road trip where some sort of person crossed the road running and he wasn't there when they stopped the car and looked around.

I saw one weird thing that I still can't explain. Maybe I'll do a post about it. I love fireflies.

Across the street from us, hubby and I have seen a flying, flashing object. It buzzes around the rooftops. It took us a couple nights to realize that it was some kind of electronic, toy airplane "thing". Apparently the neighbor likes to fly it around at night... Years ago my dad, who lives in the country, said he was out closing up the chickens. It was dark and he said a typical-looking UFO flew over the hill. It had flashy lights and the works. As soon as he looked at it, it zoomed away. Instead of jumping to conclusions, he remembered that an army base or government facility (can't remember which) was a few miles away from his house. He figured it was some kind of government flight test. Other than that, the only alien I know is @theblock. He let it slip that he's part alien...

Oh, how strange! Poor firefly. One time when my oldest daughter went out just after sunset to lock up the horse, she saw a light that "winked" at her and started following her. It terrified her and she ran back to the house. We never did figure out what it was.

I can't say that I've seen anything like that. I haven't witnessed any UFO sightings or anything like that.

Sometime if you don't know what it is you're looking at, it can be very weird.

Its nice when we can find explanation for something unidentified. You can't if you are running back into the house like a frightened rabbit. That would be me.

The experience wasn't very frightening. A spacecraft landing close by that would be a whole different story.

Never seen one, but fireflies just fly low not so high in the sky. Could it be a UFO?

It flew high enough over my head that I couldn't really tell how far away it was.
