Preparing to say goodbye to Marshall

Here's an update on Marshall. Last night, he couldn't walk on his four legs. He tried 4 times (the litter box, my door, twice to the bathroom). But he still can't walk. I called the vet and told him his symptoms--they had no openings. But they said $160 would be for euthanasia. They told me that he should've been seen sooner than later. They told me to call Metro Vet Care. I did. They said he should be brought in to emergency, which would cost $100. But for MRIs and X-rays, that's out of my range. I told my brother about it and discussed our options. Looks like I might have to say goodbye to him today. He did call his vet and got a 4 PM appointment. He would be down here at 3:30 PM. I would have to use my savings card. He would take him for me and let me know either way. I believe we're all out of miracles, since I've had one more month of him. EVEN Wylie's been good and hiding behind the couch. He knows his brother is dying and something's wrong with him. So I'll be offline most of the day and will update as soon as I know later this afternoon like 4:30-5 PM. Please send prayers and virtual hugs over my way.
